Grammarian

The grammarian is a very important part of the Toastmasters experience.

By providing the Word of the Day, the grammarian introduces new words to the members of the club that they perhaps would not have used otherwise. The grammarian presents the Word of the Day along with the definition and usage of the Word of the Day. The grammarian then keeps track of the usage of the Word of the Day by the members of the club and reports this usage during the Evaluation Program.

The grammarian also provides feedback to all of the attendees on their use of the language, including diction and grammar. The grammarian reinforces the good usage of the language and grammar by noting where and how it was used effectively, as well as pointing out how the language usage could have been better.
