Before the meeting
The room is set up for the Toastmasters meeting -- tables, chairs, forms, lectern, trophies, flag, etc.
Call to Order
Chairman calls the meeting to Order
Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance
OR Pledge of Allegiance and Thought of the DayChairman welcomes attendees
Chairman ask for introduction of guest(s), if any
Business Meeting
Chairman calls for minutes of previous meeting to be read by secretary
Chairman calls for committee reports/officer reports
Chairman calls for old business (should be item(s) mentioned in minutes of previous meeting)
Chairman calls for new business from the floor
Chairman introduces the Toastmaster of Meeting
Toastmaster of Meeting
Toastmaster of Meeting welcomes attendees
Toastmaster of Meeting BRIEFLY describes meeting
Table Topics
Toastmaster of Meeting introduces the Table Topic Master
Table Topic Master introduces the Table Topics portion of the meeting
Explanation of timing procedure of Table Topics by timer
Presentation of Table Topics
Call for vote for best Table Topic speaker
Table Topic Master returns control of the meeting to the Toastmaster of the Day
Educational Program
Toastmaster of the Day introduces the Vice-President of Education
Vice-President of Education introduces educational speaker and educational program
Educational program is presented
Control of meeting is returned to Toastmaster of the Day
Intermission
Toastmaster of the Day calls for intermission/recess
Toastmaster of the Day also:
Reminds evaluators to meet with speakers to discuss evaluation of presentation by speaker
Requests the timer to time the intermission
Timer gives warning that Intermission is nearing its end
Speaking Program
Toastmaster of the Day reconvenes the meeting
Toastmaster of the Day welcomes the attendees, and introduces the speaking program
Explanation of timing procedure for the speeches given by timer
Toastmaster of the Day introduces each of the speakers
Each speaker gives his/her presentation
After all speakers have spoken, the Toastmaster of the Day calls for timer's report
Toastmaster of the Day calls for vote for best speaker given the timer's report
Toastmaster of the Day introduces the Chief Evaluator
Evaluation Program
Chief Evaluator introduces the evaluation program
Explanation of timing procedure for the evaluation given by timer
Chief Evaluator introduces each of the evaluators
Evaluators give their evaluations
After all evaluators have spoken, Toastmaster of the Day introduces the Grammarian
Grammarian gives Grammarian's report
Chief Evaluator calls for vote for best evaluator or grammarian
Chief Evaluator presents General Evaluation of the meeting
Chief Evaluator returns control of meeting to Toastmaster of the Day
Awards Presentation
Toastmaster of the Day presides over the awarding of the merit awards:
