When You Are the Timer

Prior to the Meeting:

Become familiar with the timing and signal devices

Obtain timing requirements from each speaker

Become familiar with timing sequences

Ensure that timing assistant has colored cards

During The Meeting

When introduced, explain the timing rules and demonstrate the signal device.

Have available a list of timing sequences for all speakers.

Prepared Speeches

Special Presentations may require coordination before meeting

Enjoy the speeches, but remain alert and keep track of the time.

Keep assistant timer alert and on track

When called upon, give oral timing report to program manager.
